William Alfred Williams' Obituary
William A. “Butch” Williams, 68 of Fredericksburg, passed away October 21, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Butch was a Navy veteran who worked for the federal government for more than 25 years. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Eagles Club #4123. Butch loved to work on and paint cars and was always the life of the party.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lane Williams and his parents, Alfred and Eleanor Williams.
Butch is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Frances Carole “Mama” Williams; a son, James MacNeil Williams, of the home; a granddaughter, Christine Lund and her husband, Dillon; a grandson, Marshall L. Williams and his wife, MacKenzie, all of Freeport, Florida; great-grandchildren, Ethen, Gage, Izabella, Kami, and Mason; two brothers, John R. Williams of Nelson County and Ralph E. Williams of Ruther Glen; two sisters, Mary E. Williams of King George County, and Jenny L. Johnson of Stafford County; a brother-in-law, Gregory L. Harding, of Lake of the Woods; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Butch’s family will receive friends from noon to 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels ~ Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Butch’s name may be made to the Fredericksburg Eagles Club Diabetes Fund, 21 Cool Springs Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
