Terry -- We can't tell you how sorry we are to hear about Billy. He was not only my Dad's best friend, but he was a fun and loving uncle to me and part of our family. As a little girl, I spent many hours in his workshop learning to work on cars (even in my Easter dress ;-)) and he helped drive my passion and love for cars and racing. I will always smile when I think of him and we are sending you hugs and much love now. Shannon & Jeremy
Willy was funny, wonderfully irreverent, down to earth, self-assured, and really knew how to enjoy life. And Willy and Terry knew how to enjoy life together. I feel there is a little less joy in the world without him.
Terry, you are one of my heros. The role of caregiver is a hard one, and you carried it to the end with such compassion and grace. May God's comfort and strength carry you in your grieving.
Terry, I was so sorry to just see this news. I maybe met Willie a couple of times, but heard plenty of stories as we rode the train together for years. I regret so much that I am unable to attend the funeral. Please know that I will be thinking of you. Hugs,
The hippy... (as he called me)

I knew Billy for over 60 years. We were friends from riding bikes and having fun in our old neighborhood in Alexandria. We had a lot of good times and he could really seem to get you to laugh no matter how bad you felt about something. I don’t think there was anyone who didn’t like him. When Paula and I got married, he was the best man at our wedding. He always found time to help me if I had a car problem, or just wanted to sit and talk. He was a generous person, too. If someone needed some help with something, or needed a few extra bucks, even a stranger, Billy never hesitated to help them out. To say we were lifelong best friends really doesn’t do the term justice. I’m really saddened at his passing, as many of us are, but knowing he is in a better place in God’s care is to know he is no longer suffering and not living life as he would have wanted.
