William P. Hutchinson's Obituary
William Paul Hutchinson, 67, of Culpeper died Thursday, May 27, 2010 from pancreatic cancer surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1942 in Uniontown, PA to the late Walter and Mary Koballa Hutchinson.
Mr. Hutchinson started out teaching 5th grade at Potomac View Elementary in Woodbridge in 1967 later becoming the Assistant Principal. He was also the Assistant Principal for Minnieville Elementary and the Principal for Kilby Elementary. He retired in May of 2002 after 35 years of service to Prince William County Schools. Mr. Hutchinson coached basketball and soccer for Prince William County Sports League and was a mentor to many. He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was absolutely devoted to his family, grandkids and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia D’Auria Hutchinson, his son, William Hutchinson and his wife, Erica, his daughter, Melissa Hutchinson Keith and her husband, Brent, and four grandchildren, Garrett and Mia Grace Hutchinson and Emily Grace and Hannah Nancy Keith.
Additional survivors include his sister, Helen Small, in-laws, Vincent and Nancy D’Auria and sister-in-laws, Marion D’Auria and Susan Pellegreen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Hutchinson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church with Pastor Brad Hales officiating.
An additional visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Shell Funeral Home, 164 S. Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401 with a service being held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Shell Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Uniontown, PA.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hutchinson, Brent Keith, Ian Custer, Nathan Custer, Ryan Schooley and Tom Morganosky.
