William Benjamin Hoffman's Obituary
William Benjamin “Bill” Hoffman, 64, of Catlett passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 29, 1950 in Charlottesville to James Sims Hoffman and the late Dorothy Watson Hoffman of Griffinsburg, VA
Mr. Hoffman attended New Salem Baptist Church and was a member of Government Finance Officers Association. He retired after 33 years of service as Deputy Finance Director for Prince William County.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debra Jean Showalter Hoffman; two children, William Alexander Hoffman and his wife, Debbie Darlene Hoffman of Culpeper and Richard Benjamin Hoffman and his wife, Ashley Michelle Hoffman of Mitchells, VA; two grandchildren, Aaron Benjamin and Aiden Walker Hoffman, both of Mitchells, VA; two siblings, Libby Hoffman Ouellette and her husband, EJ Ouellette of Griffinsburg and James Randolph Hoffman and his wife, Debra Ross Hoffman of Culpeper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2 pm at New Salem Baptist Church, 8233 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Mike Dodson officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the International Multiple Myeloma Foundation, myeloma.org
