William "Billy" Harrington's Obituary
William “Billy” Harrington, 68, of Fredericksburg, passed away on April 25, 2026.
Billy was born on November 7, 1957. He was known as a hardworking man throughout his life. In his younger years, Billy worked in construction. He also worked at Mike’s Tire Center and spent many years as a brake manufacturer. Above all, Billy valued time spent with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him.
Billy loved attending church at Life Point and faithfully volunteered with the 516 Project for as long as he was able. His kindness, generosity, and strong faith touched many lives.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Kelly McCahren and husband Justin; son, Kanyon Harrington; and stepdaughter, Kayla Jackson. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Sydney, Carleigh, and Malorie McCahren; Robert Landon Frame; Donivan Jackson; Cayden Jackson; David Kessler; and Lilliana Jackson.
He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Darrow and husband Paul, Caroline Peacock and Deana Orton; brothers, Dean Harrington and wife Maria, and Mikey Harrington and wife Linda; brother-in-law, Kevin Kirkpatrick; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends Carl, Ryan and Will.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, April Harrington; his parents, Gerald Dean Harrington and Patty Jo Shaffer; his sisters, Pam Maxey and Judy Kirkpatrick; and brother, Kenneth Harrington.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Moose Lodge, 11917 Cherry Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
