Whitney Walton Pound's Obituary
Whitney Walton Pound, 93, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026. He was the son of the late Robert Whitney Pound and Susie Pound.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis and Bernard Pound, and his sister, Barbara Aylor.
He is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Postans and Peggy Ford, and his nieces and nephews.
He lived all of his life in the house where he was born, ninety-three years ago. Farming was the joy and purpose of his life, a calling he met with devotion and pride.
At his request, arrangements will be private.
A special thanks to Teresa and Zachary Green, who were constant, helpful, and willing friends, and to his neighbors, Helen Sue and Jim Marshall, who kept a watchful eye on him, delivering home-cooked food and showing concern.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
