I met Warren at Powell Wellness center. I smiled at him and he says you smiling at me? I said yes. He then preceded to say earlier I thought you looked at me like I was a creepy. I’m like oh no I’m sorry that’s just my face 😂 we were gym friends from then on. I miss seeing him when I go. I loved his sense of humor and always telling me which Netflix shows to watch. ♥️
I just came in from Powell Wellness Center after being away for two weeks. I am just stunned and beyond sad hearing of Warren's passing. He always shared his favorite Netflix movies with me and couldn't believe I could not get into his very favorite, "My Mister". He was on his second watching of it. Now I feel I am going to go back and give it a try for him. So many people stopped and chatted with Warren. What a void he leaves. My sincerest condolences to his family. I met Warren in the Fall of 1983 when I moved to Culpeper and became a Job Placement Specialist at FORE workshop in Remington and when I worked with him at the Department of Rehabilitative Services for a few months placing his clients at jobs in the region. Warren was a wonderful mentor and friend. I learned so much from him early in my career. Our kids went to preschool together and I always enjoyed catching up with him when we would run into each other out in the community. My favorite memories of Warren was when he was talking about Buddy, bragging about his golf game, replaying his favorite show from DC 101 and the Greaseman. Warren could always make us laugh at work. Warren helped so many people, and as others have said...he was a faithful public servant. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Warren's family and friends...but especially with Buddy. I knew Warren from Powell Wellness.Center. He was always friendly and willing to share his latest soup reports from restaurants he had eaten at. I will always.remember him wearing his striped.rugby shirts and baseball cap.He will be missed.
I’m saddened to hear the passing of Warren. We were neighbors for several years and he would walk his dog to my driveway daily to visit with mine dog. I was privileged to play several rounds of golf with him and never did laugh at my game !! I’m told by so many the positive impact that he had on their lives. Rest in peace my friend for you have served your community well.
I am sorry to hear of Warren's passing. Warren helped me get my life together back in early 80's and for that I will always be grateful to him. I proved to him what most couldnt do and I remember how proud he was of me. My thoughts and prayers to his family. May Warren rest in peace
