Wallace "Wally" Paulson's Obituary
Wallace “Wally” Roger Paulson, 79, of Gainesville went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 30, 2014 while at the INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Wally was born April 15, 1935, in Fosston, Minnesota to the late Caleb Ingvil and Olga Anderson Paulson.
Wally was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, after transferring to the Army reserves he continued to farm on his family property as a dairy farmer for 24 years, after moving to Northern Virginia he retired from Luck Stone Company where he was a equipment operator. He instilled the highest of standards to work ethics and morals that his family carries out to this day.
Wally is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue Ellen Paulson and their children; Warren Roger Paulson and his wife Kimberlie of Culpeper and Terrie Lisa Stark and her husband Mike Stark, Jr. of Manassas, five grandchildren; Grayce and her husband Evan of Front Royal, Justin Paulson of Culpeper, Jacob, Jade and Janelle Stark of Manassas and three great grandchildren; Brady, Kaleb and Annlee Benson also of Front Royal.
Also surviving are his siblings Maxine Nelson of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Wayne Paulson and his wife Dorothy of Fosston Minnesota.
In addition to his parents Wally is preceded in death by one child Wesley Robert Paulson and a brother in law Norman Nelson.
The family will receive friends from 6-9pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper with the Pastor Jan Sickle officiating.
Interment will follow at the Culpeper National Cemetery with Military honors provided by the VFW Post 2425.
