My first memory of Uncle Wally was a valentine he sent me when he was in the Army stationed in Alaska. The valentine had a boy and girl - - and when the card was opened the boy and girl shared an "Eskimo kiss". When he returned from the army, I was "hanging out" with him as he sorted through his belongings and he gave me his copy of the New Testament. I think I was about 4 - 5 years old at the time. I remember looking, in awe, at his collection of really cool watch fobs. And his really hot black and white Ford......He was a 'wild and crazy' guy at that point in his life and I was always excited to see him drive in the driveway.
