Virginia Woodard's Obituary
Virginia Anna Woodard, 94, of Culpeper died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. She was born July 8, 1916 in Rappahannock County to the late John Wade and Gela Weakley Jenkins.
Mrs. Woodard was a member of New Salem Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her special friend and caretaker, Anna Jenkins of Culpeper, and a host of family members and friends that will cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Woodard and four brothers, Ellis, Sam, Robert and Otis Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
