New Salem Baptist Church lost their oldest member in age, but I lost a very dear friend. Our friendship began when she agreed to take a picture for the church directory in 1998, it ended when God called her home. She was ready to go, which she had shared with me many times. Virginia, I am not saying goodbye, but until we meet again. Love Peggy
I, too, remember Mrs. Woodard from Salem School. She and Mrs. Frazier were the most wonderful ladies. My Dad worked with Mr. Woodard at the Highway Department, also. I saw her a couple of years ago one day at the Baptist Home and we had a nice chat. It was so good to see her after all these years.

I have known Mrs. Woodard since first grade at Salem School. Ginny worked in the cafeteria. She always made sure all the kids ate well and were well taken care of. She was a GREAT lady. Hazel Zinn-Day
