We will always remember what a very kind and gentle man Vernon was and how much he loved all of his grandchildren. He loved to talk about his garden and his livestock. It was one of his desires to vist the Lynchburg Livestock Market and he would always mention it. He always reminded me of a true "Virginia Gentleman."
