I am so sorry to learn of Tom's death, my thoughts and prayers are with
all of his family. I have known Tom since our childhood days ,living in the very same neighborhood, and attending the same ole St.Joseph school. I have many nice
memories of Tom some good ,some sad, and some enjoyable funny ,even up
into both of our adult lives and sharing with each other, along with our spouses,
[as my spouse known as Junie, Sonny or Squirrel] also grew up in the same
neighborhood. My prayers are with all of his family, and God bless all of you

My heart sank when I took the call from MaryAnn this morning. Uncle Tommy in my mind was vibrant, full of life and always had a joke to tell. The world is a sadder place without him. David and I hope you find peace in knowing that he is with Aunt Mildred. I have fond memories of spending time with your family and my first trip to the Outer Banks was with all of you and now David and I are retiring there. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Live your life to your fullest potential everyday just as your Dad did.

It has been my honor and privilege to help care for Thomas during these past years. Despite the health concerns he faced during our visits I always knew there would be a joke or words of wisdom to finish the visit. He always had the last say. Rightfully so.

I can only hope that one day, we all have the opportunity to jump off a diving board when we are in our nineties. It's now on my bucket list! Peace to the Hartnett family.
