Steven Louis Daugherty, II's Obituary
Steven Louis Daugherty II, 28, of Lignum went to be with his lord and savior on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Steven was born June 23, 1985 in Fairfax, Virginia to Steven L. Daugherty and Christine Daugherty.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Daugherty and his son, Dalton Louis Daugherty of Lignum.
Additional survivors include two sisters, and a brother, Christine Vitello, Barbara Simonsen, and William Daugherty. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Marty and Vicki Egan, his maternal grandfather, John Holsinger and his lifelong partner Rose Driggers, his grandmother-in-law, Grace J. Raze and survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Mr. Daugherty was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lignum.
Steven was welcomed into heaven by his paternal grandfather Louis Daugherty and other family that were awaiting his arrival mainly Cpl. Brian Simonsen, George Tabash, and Jual Harman all of which preceded him in death and were standing by to welcome him home.
The family will receive friends Monday July 8th, 2013 from 2-4p.m. & 6-9p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 9th, 2013 at 11a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels with Pastor Tim Atkins officiating.
Interment will be at a later time in Crisfield, MD cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Daugherty Family Help Fund, c/o Wells Fargo, 795 Nalles Mill Rd., Culpeper, VA 22701.
