Stephen John Sabol's Obituary
Stephen John Sabol, 88, of Culpeper, VA, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022.
Stephen was born on March 21, 1934 to the late Andrew and Annie Sabol. He was a proud Navy Vet, serving for 21 years including time in Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star. He retired from Teves after 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Atkins Sabol; step-daughter, Donna Jean Bailey Grant; siblings, Andrew (Marilyn) Sabol, Helen Sabol, Evelyn Sabol, Francis (Mary Lou) Sabol, Bernard (Jean) Sabol, Teresa Belanye; niece, Shelly Sabol; and nephew, Michael Belanye.
He is survived by his brother, Richard (Claudette) Sabol; grandchildren, Candy (Tina) Brown, Susan Banks, Eric (Audrey) Grant, Kelli Poulton; great-grandchildren, Kara Butler, Ashlynn Keyser, Jaliyah Hull, Jazmyne Hull, Everly Grant, Easton Grant, Alexandria “Alex” Holland; son-in-law, Michael Grant; nieces and nephews, Andrew “Skippy”, Sandy, Jamie and Barbara Sabol, Valorie, Mary Ann, Jane and Cathi Belanye.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper VA 22701 with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors.
