Tammi & family, just saw the notice of the service. I wanted to be there for you, just to represent your side of the family. I only met Scott once in Beaufort, SC. I knew instantly he was a "good man" for my independent niece.
You shared a lot of years together, and you've been robbed of many years to continue living life together. Be very thankful for everything you had the opportunity to experience.
Your love & strength as Scott undertook the fight of his life I'm confident meant so much to him. You gave all you could to share the obstacles you both faced.

For a memory, I remember the times all of us (your family, the Jackson's, and my family), all sat around the fire pit just talking away and enjoying the evening. Good times they were. Again, deepest condolences to you and your family.
We are shocked and saddened to hear of Scott's loss. We played softball with Scott for several years and he was a fantastic ballplayer. More than that, he was an outstanding person and friend. All of his family are in our thoughts and prayers.
To a proud Marine, you are truly missed by all my friend, fly with the angels, and may god hold you in his comforting arms. Go Cubbies!!!
I got to know Scott through the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group. He was our Sergeant at Arms for the chapter. He was an active member of the group and always contributed his all.
You could not help but like Scott with his outgoing personality and willingness to give to the advancement of the group. He was always there when we needed him and will be sorely missed by everyone.
As an Army retiree our friend Scott belonged to the greatest fraternity in this country, "The brotherhood of Arms". We practice something that no other profession does and that is Sacrifice. He was a living example of this with his service to this country and to the Corps. We certainly need more like him and I ill always be proud to call him a brother in arms and friend.
You have ridden your final ride westward. Now you can watch over us as we ride giving your all again in spirit.

Scott is one of a small group who changed my life by steering me toward a life changing adventure. Scott was my recruiter and he and Rick both helped me earn the title of US Marine. I will never be able to express how much I appreciate everything he did for me. I love you brother. Semper Fi.
Have known Scott since we were about 3 or 4. Went to grade school with him into Lincoln and East. Never thought Scott, as being a rebel he was would EVER join the service, much less Marines. I'll never forget what he told me why he joined the military.. As he was working at the Baxter Bulletin , and joining the corp at 27?, which is a little older than most...'He said..I can see myself working here for the rest of my life'... So he did what he did... After 30 years in the corp we had NOTHING in common after. Like us most of us stubborn W. Europeans? He wasn't going to change.. He found his calling. I was best man at 2 of his weddings. Last time I saw him I think was at his brothers about 15 years ago. I remember so much, The crazy shit we did, the 2 accidents scott had of course with me in the car (probably my fault).. I could on for a long time....we were childhood/teen pals... I'm just at a loss for words as I thought he was doing better. Still have the tons of memories. SKOL MY BROTHER!!!!
Growing up in small town Mountain Home as teenagers Scott and I lived just a street over from each other so we were together a lot sitting in his bedroom listening to good rock and roll and sipping on two fingered tequila and doing what teens do in a small town. I lost track of him when he went in the Marines and just recently found him on face book like three weeks ago. I didn’t know he was not doing good as he never made mention of it to me but after looking back on his Facebook page I can tell he was a tough dude. I was so hoping to get together and go for a ride and do a shot. RIP dude and we will get together one day.
