Sam, it's been 13 years since we met while doing the study for the hospital. All I knew was I was interviewing the owner of the local funeral home. I was expecting an old pickle puss; not a funny goofball. I was driving home from work today and for no reason remembered you and how one bitter cold day in feb 2001 I was walking down Davis street, suit and tie when a big red pu truck pulls up and a stranger hollers"hey! You the feller doin the hospital study? Get in the truck! I'm your 6 pm interview!" I'm thinking, who is this guy? You were a goofy redneck! So u googled you and my heart sank when I saw you passed 3 years ago. I remember how you couldn't stop talking about your two girls.... I wish you peace. There are a lot of folks in culpeper who must miss you very much. Rest in peace Sam.
Dale would always say that you were the one rose in the thorn bush........thats how I always pictured you Sam. Your memory will forever be that rose.
How could one person impact so many lives? You were larger than life and always knew how to make people smile. Although not visable to our eyes, we can all feel you in our hearts! Take care my friend, you will be missed!
Hey Sam....having a tough day today. Shine down on me please. I'm a little overwhelmed but gettin by. Sometimes wish I could still call you even if you were gonna make me mad about something....yep, I even miss those days, who would have imagined. I see your face everywhere, my office, my car and when I close my eyes. Jen and I are doing great...hoping to have a little one to carry on your name. Well, gotta run, you know me, lots to do and always freaked out about it all. You mr. Anxiety.
