Roy Hal Roper's Obituary
Roy Hal Roper, 78, of Culpeper died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Hospice of the Piedmont, Center for Acute Hospice Care in Charlottesville. He was born July 5, 1938 in Franklin, NC to the late Hal and Hazel Owens Roper.
Mr. Roper was a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Bristersburg, VA.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Roper; four children, William Hal Roper of Ft. Collins, CO, Kenneth Roy Roper of Manassas, VA, Diane Sharp of Gainesville, VA and Robert Roper of Fredericksburg, VA; three siblings, Virginia Aylor of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Randall Joseph Roper of Somerville, AL, Brenda Roper Fascetti of Harrison City, PA; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David John Roper.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jacob Slaubaugh officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
