My heart breaks on hearing of Dr. Rosalia Lomeo's passing. She was an amazing Dr. I have never had a Dr. care and listen as she did. I saw her for years and just spoke to others as to her caring nature. I still am shocked that she has passed. My heart goes out to her family and friends. She was that special person who has left a memory in all that met her.

Dr.Lomeo was my doctor for almost 30 years. Each visit was like visiting a close friend. We usually talked about our boys, laughing and discussing details that only a boy's momma could understand. Mostly I remember her smile and understanding. She guided me through many difficulties with my health. Even after moving to South Carolina, I continued to see her as my rheumatologist. I shall never forget her kindness and the medical knowledge that she freely shared with me.
I was a patient of Dr. Lomeo for 20 years I think, and that time flew by so quickly. I was impressed by her kindness, ethics and never failing pursuit of knowledge, and used her as a guidepost to follow in my own medical career. I respected her more than any other doctor I’ve had, or worked with, and will miss her humanity so very much.
I’ve seen many, many doctors since going into heart failure at 24. We drove all of the way to Toledo, the University of Toledo, UNC, UVA, even Johns Hopkins to see the Dr who wrote the protocols for lupus herself but I’ve never met one as compassionate and caring as Dr Lomeo. My heart broke when I recently learned of her passing. My prayers to her friends, family, and other patients. She will be missed.
I have been a patient of Dr. Lomeo for many years and am devastated to hear of her passing. Dr Lomeo was an excellent physician who genuinely cared about her patients. Prayers to all of her family.

I just heard of Dr. Lomeo passing. It is heartbreaking. She not only was my doctor for 17 years, but a friend. She will be missed greatly.
She made my life and pain bearable for 23 years. She was my doctor, my friend, and my confessor. I thought I would cry when she closed her office, but now that she is gone,I will cry in my heart everyday for her and her wonderful family. May God keep you and your family his loving arms.
