Rosa "Rosie" Brown's Obituary
Rosa (Rosie) Lee Arrowood Brown, born March 17, 1939 in Reddies River, NC, passed into eternal rest Monday, August 3, 2015 at her residence in Culpeper, Va. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Leslie Arrowood and of the late Vetra Mae Pilkington Arrowood Roope.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Frank Edward Brown, Sr. They were married on August 4, 1956, at the Bethel Baptist Church, by Reverend Koy Peterson. She is also survived by her three children, Frank Edward Brown, Jr and his spouse, Wendy, of Fairfax, Natalie Cramer of Ashburn, and Sharon Brown Goode of Virginia Beach and her spouse, John, of Culpeper. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Pauline Curtis and Joan Hoffman, both of Culpeper and three brothers, Clifford Arrowood, William Arrowood and Richard Arrowood. Rosie also leaves behind four grandchildren, Megan Lynne Cramer, Judson Cramer of Harpers Ferry, WV, Katharine Elaine Goode Gramer and spouse, Jason, of Oklahoma City, OK, and David Edward Goode of Culpeper. She also is survived by a great grandson, Seth Leo Jorgen Gramer. She leaves behind a multitude of loving friends and family.
Rosie was a member of the former Culpeper Assembly of God church, now known as the Family Community Church. For many years she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member and participated in multiple other church organizations. She was a sales distributor for the Shaklee Corporation for over twenty years. She was a devoted Christian and loving prayer warrior for her Lord.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Family Community Church, 120 Chestnut Drive, Culpeper, Va. with the Reverend Randy Albritton officiating.
Interment will follow at the new section of Culpeper National Cemetery, 502 East Chandler St, Culpeper.
