Roma was active in the family's small businesses through the years. Many from the area fondly remember the family's buffalo farm, especially those who visited as children on field trips. She enjoyed participating in the camaraderie of community organizations such as the Annandale Business and Professional Women, Annandale Chamber of Commerce and National Buffalo Association. A caring and involved mother, during Stephen's school years, she was actively involved in the PTA and other parent organizations.
