My fondest memories of my Aunt Junie are when her and Uncle Wray came to visit all of us in Oklahoma. Our whole family would get together to eat and talk for hours! I remember she always had her hair and nails done. She loved my daughter and thought it was hilarious that she wore princess dresses all the time. Just last week when my mom (Naomi) talked to Aunt Junie, she asked "Is Bella still wearing those fancy dresses?" I will miss her and will never forget all the special times we had with her. We know how difficult this is for Wray and our thoughts and prayers are with him.

I have so many memories of my Aunt Junie, too many to mention. She was like a second mother to my brother, sister and myself. We all looked forward to Aunt Junie and Uncle Wray's visit to Oklahoma. Rick, Tammy and I would always joke that Aunt Junie had her favorite and of course they thought it was one of them. But I knew best, after I was the first and named after her! From now on there will always be a hole in my heart knowing I can't pick up the phone to talk to Aunt Junie.

She will be missed beyond words. I loved her so much.

We have many very happy memories of the winter visits Roma & Wray made to our home in Florida to share the sunshine, warm beaches and good times with my parents, Cous (Donna) & Bill. They were a good match for exploring the territory & finding fun which included some major belly laughs... until tears would roll down Roma's face! Roma loved her family, and I will always remember her with a smile on her face as she told the most recent stories of her grandchildren. Roma's life with Wray was probably way more exciting than she ever expected...or maybe I have it backwards? What I can say, is the true stories of Roma & Wray's life together included many characters and situations that even the most talented screen writer could not create! I will remember Roma with a smile, a kind, giving sole. How fortunate we are to have known her; loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We will miss her.

My most recent favorite memory of Roma was when she and Wray traveled to Iowa for my Father's (Bill Launspach) 80th birhday party. Roma insisted on bringing her 30 plus cup coffee server all the way from Virginia just for us to use at the party. I think it rode in the back seat....it was very large. All this, so we wouldn't have to worry about buying or renting one. And we, of course, were very appreciative. That was Roma......always thinking of others....always helpful.....what an amazing lady.

My Father and Mother (Bill and Donna (Simpson) Launspach) will miss her deariy, as will we.......and the rest of the Simpson family.

I will always treasure the fond memories of times spent with Aunt Junie. I always enjoyed when she and Uncle Wray would come to visit in Oklahoma but I especially enjoyed visits to Virginia.

I remember when my parents and my brother and I visited I was in the 10th grade, I think. We went shopping and there was a pair of basketball shoes I really wanted but they were pricey. Aunt Junie told me that if I could pay for one shoe she would pay for the other. I don't know if she ever knew it but I wore those shoes every time I stepped onto the court until they literally fell apart!

When I had the opportunity to attend the national 4-H convention in Maryland she came and took me out for lunch. It was so special! There are many more things like when she and Uncle Wray visited me when I lived in Massachusetts - I could go on and on but I won't.

Aunt Junie was a very special person. Thank you for being such a good sister to my daddy - we will all miss you so much. We will always love you.

Dear Dawson Family: I wanted to send my deepest and sincere condolences during this unfortunate time in your lives, but I also wanted to share with your family a comforting promise that God gives in his Word the Bible about the possibility of us seeing our dead loved ones again, it's found at John 5:28,29 which in part reads:"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life,". Your family will be in my prayers, my sincere condolences.

Some of my best memories of Aunt Junie were the trips I made from Oklahoma with Mamer. (My grandmother and Aunt Junie's mother.) She was such a great cook and always made sure there were lots of activities to keep us busy - like going to Washington DC or traveling the Wiliamsburg.

But I also loved it when she and Uncle Wray would visit us in Oklahoma. They would stay with my mother and we always got together as a family and "talked about old times." I really appreciated how they traveled with my mother on several trips including one to Seattle as members of the National Buffalo Association. My mother absolutely LOVED IT and talked about that trip for many years. I believe my mother always thought of Aunt Junie as the "sister" she never had.

I loved and will miss Aunt Junie very much.

Aunt Junie has always held a special place in my heart. She was my Dad’s only sister and even though we lived in Oklahoma, we always tried to stay very close.

The funniest memories I have of Aunt Junie were the birthday cards she would send to me. As a kid, Aunt Junie would send me a birthday card and I could always count on her to put money in the card. What she didn’t know at the time was that I rarely read the card, I would just shake it to see how much money would fall out. As I got older, she would still send me a birthday card but just without the money in it. So when I got to be around forty, I finally confessed to her what I did with her cards as a kid. She thought that was so funny and we both laughed about it. The next year, I got a beautiful birthday card from Aunt Junie just like she had always sent. Except this time, there was a dollar bill inside! I was so excited that I could shake money out of the card just like my memories as a kid.

I will miss her cards and I will miss her very much. I loved her so much. I will always remember our times together.
