Robert "Bob" Charles Meyers' Obituary
Robert Charles “Bob” Meyers, 72, of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away on December 10, 2025. Born on September 19, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Harry Robert Meyers and Joan Anna Meyers. Bob lived a full, adventurous, and eventful life that touched countless people.
Bob grew up in Pittsburgh, where his love for the Steelers took root and never wavered. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and built an impressive career as an electrical engineer. For decades, he proudly owned and operated his own business, specializing in electrical construction and telecommunications. His expertise led him to serve as a trusted subcontractor for the U.S. State Department around the globe. Bob’s work took him to every corner of the world, collecting experiences and endless supply of stories as enthusiastically as he collected friends with his sharp wit and sarcastic humor.
An adventurer at heart, Bob spent his younger years rock climbing and spelunking. He was a die-hard fan of John Wayne (“The Duke”) and Jim Morrison (“The Jim”), and he could quote entire scenes from favorite movies, which he watched and recited religiously with his daughter Cat.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Alice Meyers-Paulin; his twin children, Catharina “Cat” Meyers and Christoph Meyers; his sisters, Renee Scalise (Guy) and Karen Davis (Chris); his lifelong best friend, Robert “Bob” Harchar; and his beloved canine companions.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Robert Meyers Jr. (9/26/1994), and his sister, Sharon Reaza (5/30/1998).
Bob lived by the words of Vince Lombardi: “The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.” He measured up extraordinarily well—using his talents, curiosity, and heart to build a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable stories.
