Ralph Joseph Breaux's Obituary
Ralph Joseph Breaux, 78, passed away peacefully in Fredericksburg, VA, surrounded by his children. A dedicated brother, husband, father, grandfather, and valued friend, he lived a life defined by service to his country, a deep love for his family, and an unwavering faith.
Born on January 1, 1948, in Welsh, Louisiana, to John and Theresa Breaux. Ralph is survived by his sister, Irene Benoit; his brother, Walter “Bud” Breaux; his daughters, Rhonda Witherspoon, and Rosalind Jackson and her husband, Steve; his only son, Ralph Joseph Breaux II and his wife Tammy; as well as his nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (Sannie) Breaux; his sister, Rose Leleaux; and his brothers, Adam Breaux, John Breaux, and Robert “Tots” Breaux.
Ralph answered the call to serve his country at a young age by joining the United States Army. During his distinguished military career, he demonstrated unwavering dedication, courage, and leadership, earning the respect of his fellow soldiers and superiors alike. After retiring from the Army, he continued his mission to protect and defend our nation as he joined the United States Secret Service. Here Ralph vowed to protect national leaders and safeguard the American financial system, continuing to serve with the same honor and professionalism that defined his military years. Following his retirement from federal service, Ralph embraced a well-earned chapter of life filled with travel and family. He found great joy driving back and forth across the United States, always eager to experience unique landmarks, different gas station souvenirs, and share pictures of the beautiful landscapes. Yet, no destination meant more to him than time spent with his family. He treasured visits with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories through laughter, jokes and shared stories.
Ralph will be remembered for his sense of duty, his faith, and the warmth he brought to every family gathering. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
