Patricia Ann Mullins' Obituary
Patricia Ann Tetlak Mullins, of Jeffersonton was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. She was born in Olean, NY to the late Roman and Florence Kubic Tetlak.
Patty was a paramedic with the Little Fork Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co. for many years and recipient of the 2010 Governor’s EMS Award for the state of VA. She was a world traveler, gourmet cook and enjoyed the outdoors. She was adventurous and had a zest for life. Patty never met a stranger and was always there to lend a hand. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a caring and giving person. Her life of service would best be described as doing the Lord’s work with her hands. She was a devoted follower of Christ since her childhood. She was a member of McLean Bible Church in McLean, VA where she applied her rescue skills as a member of the medical response team.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years and the love of her life, Ted Mullins, two children, Andrea Felso and her husband, John of Raleigh, NC and Michael McGhee and his wife, Amanda of Millis, MA and grandchildren, John Roman and Aaron Felso and Nate, Noah and Tessa McGhee.
Additional survivors include her siblings, Ed Tetlak and his wife, Fran of Raleigh, NC and children Eddy and Laura, Peggy Tetlak of South Boston, VA, Marianne Fitzhugh and her husband, Bill of Richmond, VA and their son Josh, and Marcia Powell and her husband, Mike of Indianapolis and children John and Sandy, and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 9 am at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department, 8279 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. J. Richard Winter officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Olean, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Little Fork Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 6011 Rixeyville Rd., Rixeyville, VA 22737.
