My condolences to the family. I just found out that Pat passed away last year. He was a great mentor and coworker who saw the good in everybody. It was an honor to have worked with you. May you rest in peace.

Denise and I just found out that Pat had passed. We had been concerned that our emails were going unanswered as we had been trading recipes on cooking for one. Something Pat was struggling with. We have conversed for nearly a decade through email about Muzzleloaders, history, and life. When emails were not being returned we became worried.
We last saw Pat last in 2021 when we spent a few days at his home. My wife still talks about the beautiful flowers, which she and Pat took many pictures of, and sitting on the porch just watching the evening roll in.
Pat was a mentor to me in many ways, always encouraging, always asking just the right question to make me think. We both shared a common trait, we married our best friends.
He will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and we hope you recall the good memories and not dwell on the passing. I know in my heart is he is watching over Ann still.

A most favorite cousin! Loved this fellow, taught me to hold a gun correctly.one of the kindest, nicest and so sweet to everyone. Love you Pattyrickus!!!❤️
Pat was the best uncle ever. He was kind and thoughtful. And I was honored to be a guest in his and Anne's wonderful, peaceful house on more than one occasion. He and I traded calls and visits when I was working in northern Virginia. I think he more than anyone else in the family understood what I was doing out there, and it was fun to have someone I could relate to in that part of my life. His devotion to Ann is a model for us all. I'll forever associate the Shenandoahs and the wild peaceful country around it with him.
Rest easy, Pat. We would all do well to live such a life.

Pat was a wonderful man, loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a good neighbor, and a friend to many. My Father, Edwin Martin was very close to Pat and Ann. They always treated everyone with great respect. He lived a great testimony to Christ. We will miss Pat, but we are happy he is at glorious place.
