Pamela Lynn "Sam" Orshoski's Obituary
Pamela Lynn “Sam” Orshoski, age 58, passed away on October 5, 2022.
Sam grew up in Huron, Ohio where she met the love of her life, Rodney, who would later become her husband, and partner of 41 years. She attended The Ohio State University and was a life-long Ohio State football fan. Sam lived in Germany and traveled throughout Europe before returning stateside to raise her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Joan Hendricks. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Orshoski; children, Curtis Orshoski (Alison), Derek Orshoski (Rhiannon), Katherine Miller (Dustin); and her beloved grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Sam gave selflessly of her time, and particularly enjoyed teaching Sunday school and staffing the nursery at her church. She was passionate about various causes, and gave generously to charities in support of children with special needs, underprivileged children, and wounded veterans. Most of all, she loved her family and friends, and particularly relished being “Nana” to her grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held, Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at Open Door Baptist Church, 754 Germanna Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in honor of Sam Orshoski to The Tim Tebow Foundation – Night to Shine (online) or the Wounded Warrior Project (online).
