Family friend from Germany. Stayed in contact until 1995 ish. Just ran across pics of Derek and Curtis annd Katie. I was heart broken to see Sam left this earth so early. She was definitely a walking angel and is definitely in Heaven. Prayers to Rodney and for the beautiful now grown children . God bless Jeff

What sad news. Sam was a beautiful woman and a good neighbor. She made my husband and I feel welcome when we moved to Culpeper on Tutts Mill. She and her daughter would deliver homemade cookies ever Christmas and give a beautiful Christmas card. Heaven gained a true angel. Prayers for Rod, their children and grandchildren. Sam was a dear friend of mine for 12 years. There a very few people I have known that lived their life on this earth the way God wanted them to. Sam was one of those people. She was one of the most kind hearted, caring, loving, considerate, helpful, thoughtful, selfless, and humble people I have ever known. I would sometimes say to her in passing: "You have a direct line to the Main Man upstairs so could you say a prayer for me today." or "I need to stand beside you today to have some "goodness" pass to me!" or "You know, you are a human angel that walks this earth right." Of course, Sam would laugh when I would say these things but I truly meant it. Sam is now a true angel in the most glorious place. I will miss you and love you. Until we meet again. My prayers and thoughts are with her entire family.

Sam was such a kind person, always cheerful, giving and ready to lend a hand. Her love and passion for Christ was her joy. Although she will be greatly missed I know she is now singing with the angels. My deepest sympathies to the family.
