I came to know Otis through being college roommates with his daughter Barbara. When he and Ella came to Mary Washington to visit they always included me in their plans. They also made me feel welcome in their Culpeper home. Otis was was kind and thoughtful gentleman. He was clearly proud of Barbara (and his garden!). Otis Gore was a true gentle soul, and he could grow the biggest and sweetest tomatoes. He always made sure I had some of them. He will be missed but God needed a gardener, and he chose one of the best. Joan and Gene Corbin
