Norborne Randolph "Randy" Winn's Obituary

Randy served in the United States Navy as a Navy Corpsman and was assigned to the First Battalion Force Recon with the United States Marines. He was proud of his service to this country. He later became a deputy with the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked for more than 20 years. He always kept busy, when not working he volunteered with the local volunteer fire companies. He volunteered with Culpeper County Volunteer Fire and Rescue departments (Co. 1 and Co. 11) and for a short period with Salem Volunteer Fire Department. He served as the Secretary and Treasurer for Co. 11. He also served as the Commander for the local VFW Post 2524. Randy spent many days assisting in the funeral services at Clore English Funeral Home for more than 30 years.
Randy’s heart was made from gold. He was always volunteering or giving his time to others in the community, or finding some way to help one another. Those who had a chance to hear his stories know how good a narrator he was and the knowledge he held.
