Kim Atkins
Moose, Andy, Chris, Barbara and family,
It took me a while to be able to write this. Randy meant the world to me. I got to know the many different sides of him through all of these years. The side when I was a kid growing up, being his dispatcher at the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, being a part of Fire and Rescue and the most special part was being welcomed as a part of the Winn family. Growing up with a military father, I understood the sternness that Randy could show, but also the kindness and compassion that he could show. I enjoyed so much working with him while he was a deputy at the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office. We would always laugh and joke, especially around the holidays on the radio when Santa Claus would make his
appearance in Culpeper or on New Year’s Eve when we would wish everyone who could hear us a Happy New Year. There was also a serious side to him that when the call for help came in, he answered it with dignity and pride. I knew that if something happened to me in the office and Randy was working that he always had my back. Randy‘s sons, Kevin aka Moose, Andy and Chris are my brothers from my other parents. We have all been through so much together over the years. I could tell you thoudsands of stories and share thousands of memories with you that would make you both laugh and cry. May you rest in peace. God bless the Winn family during this most difficult time. I love you all. ❤️
Love,
Kim
