My dear neighbor, 2nd mom- you will be sorely missed. I loved your straight forwardness and the love you had for your children. The front yard will not be the same. Darlene, Gary, Bonnie and Stacey- yall are Ms.King through and through. Love yall.

I’m so Sorry for your Loss Stacy, Gary, and family. Mrs. King (and y’all) was so much a part of our everyday lives. She was quick with the Snap and could break you down laughing, and she didn’t pull no punches either. I wanted to be there, but since I can’t I’m sending my love (and Nick). Your Mom was a hard working good woman, and she always took the time to help me out (pick me up from work, school, making sure I got from point A to point B), or just to listen to me when my own parents didn’t bother. If you ever need anything I’m just a phone call away. Stacy, we (Nick, Danny, and Aaron God Rest his soul....) consider you to be family. You are part of us. You know Aaron loved you so much. We Love y’all.
Deepest sympathy to the King family. I would visit Ms. King at the nursing home, and she was a very sweet and pleasant person. She would smile when I talked to her; she will be truly missed. Ms. King's son was always there to make sure his mom was fine. The Lord will bless him for his faithfulness to her.
Much Love,
Diana Allen

The day we first met was rewarding, her spirit is and shall continue to inspire me to persevere; the second meeting was a full day she, Mary and I spent the day in Culper, VA, laughing, joking, eating and loving the rain as it poured from the sky, and my heart was full once again from her enduring presence. I truly loved Aunt Nellie. Burnetta Coles.
May you Rest In Peace Aunt Nellie. As Thomas’ surviving son I speak for my other brothers when I say how much we would anticipate our annual visits to Virginia to see u and others there. Homemade biscuits!!😁 Luv, Robert Lee Groves
