Mike was my cousin. Growing up he was much older than me. He was on the quiet side, played guitar and I never knew how to start a conversation. As adults I felt closer to him. I got to know him better through the years and many visits. He loved word search, good cookin', and family. Mike had a good heart and he will be missed my many who knew and loved him.......
Cousin Sandy
My cousin Mike was the second oldest in the line of grandchildren to Shelby and Mary Wheeler. My sister and I were the younger grandkids. Most of our family lived in southern Ohio. When they came home for visits was always such a fun time.
I got to know Mike better in my adult years and enjoyed the many family visits. Mike loved his childhood family and the family he was blessed with as Adult. He had a good, loving heart and we will miss him.
Cousin Sandy
My fondest memories of Mike were his being my big brother. He was only 1 year and 8 days older than me so we were pretty close. I always tried to tag along with him and his friends when we were young as he always made friends easier than me. Even hanging out in high school we would go with a group of neighbor kids hiking through Burlingtrack (Dranesville really), excursion to skiing at Liberty, fishing at Lake Anna, or listening to him play bass guitar in band (the Choice Nuts) with my now husband Bruce playing lead guitar duos with Art, Rick on drums. In our family there were just the 3 of us kids and we were close in age all being in high school at the same time for 1 year. He is greatly missed by me. I'm hoping he is now reunited with our sister Brenda, Mom, Dad, and family and friends who passed before him.
