Marvin Josaitis, Ph.D.'s Obituary
On the evening of October 14, 2015, Marvin Josaitis, 73, peacefully completed his life’s journey, in his home in Culpeper, VA.
Marv is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna; his three children and their families; which includes six grandchildren; his brother, Norman; and many cousins and friends.
Born and raised in Detroit, MI, the son of Frank and Margaret (Girard) Josaitis, he internalized the values of hard work and love of family. Before beginning a varied and successful career, he completed his formal education, which included two master’s degrees and a doctorate from the University of Michigan. His career spanned over thirty years and three countries: the United States, Canada and England. His positions ranged from teaching at the Monroe Community College and Shenandoah University to managing human resources professionally for Ford Motor Company, Massey-Ferguson, Abitibi-Price, and Lafarge.
After retiring from the executive world, until as recently as September of this year, Marv helped numerous individuals purchase and sell homes as a Realtor. In addition, he shared his numerous talents and balanced his time as a pianist, playing and directing Bridge games, and writing. As an author, Marv published three books which reflected his character, intellect, and deep love and commitment to family.
On Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Country Club of Culpeper, a memorial service is scheduled to celebrate the life of Marvin Josaitis.
