Marjorie Ann Parker
Marjorie Ann Parker, 76, of Culpeper departed her earthly life to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. Marjorie was born into this world on August 7, 1939 in Culpeper County to the late Elmer Parker and late Virginia Mae Parker Carder.
Marjorie retired from C & P Telephone Company where she was a dedicated worker; prior to that she enjoyed working at J.J. Newberry in Culpeper. She will be remembered during this time for her smile and willingness to help others. She was also a member of Culpeper Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and enjoyed the fellowship and church services before her residency at Culpeper Health and Rehab. While at Culpeper Health and Rehab, she continued her faithfulness and attended their church services regularly.
Marjorie is survived by a brother, Roger L. Parker and his wife, Kim; a sister, Brenda Carder Marshall and her husband, Terry; and sister, Sue Carder McDaniel and her husband Bruce. Additional survivors include Marjorie’s nieces and nephews: Franklin L. Parker, Jr., Philip L. Parker, Cassandra Parker Scott, Melissa Parker Deal, Mark A. Parker, Matthew B. Marshall and Ashley Marshall Keys.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Parker, her mother, Virginia Mae Parker Carder, step-father, Russell H. Carder, and her brother, Franklin L. Parker Sr.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care they provided Marjorie during her stay.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with the Pastor Wayne Yowell officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Terry Marshall, Mathew B. Marshall, Bruce S. McDaniel, Parker Jones, Melissa Parker Deal, and Cassandra Parker Scott.
