Maria Gallahan's Obituary
Maria Gallahan, 84, of Boston, VA died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 13, 1930 in Augsburg, Germany to the late Johann and Maria Huber.
She is survived by her husband, Frank M. Gallahan; one son, Walter H. Swoboda; three siblings, Emilie Kraus of Augsburg, Germany, Ingeborg Bamsey and her husband, Franklin of Fredericksburg, VA and Heinrich Huber and his wife, Renate of Spain. Sister-in-law Helga Huber of Augsburg, Germany.
Additional survivors include two grandchildren, M. Elizabeth Shultz of Alexandria, VA, Heidi Pollpeter and her husband, Chad of Ocoee, FL. Four great grandchildren, Kristin Pollpeter and Matthew Pollpeter of Ocoee, FL, and Max and James D. Shultz, both of Alexandria, VA; son-in-law, Randall K. Bjorklund of Fairfax, VA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonja S. Bjorklund; one brother, Johann Huber; and one daughter-in-law, Margret L. Swoboda.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10 am at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E Edmondson St. Culpeper with Father Anselme Malonda Nkuanga officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
