Margaret "Mac" McLaughlin's Obituary
Margaret Lucia Hamilton “Mac” McLaughlin, 98, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Hughes Home. She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on September 11, 1913 to the late, Walter David Hamilton, Jr. and Margaret Hall Hamilton.
Mac is survived by her children, Joseph Raymond McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife, Brenda and Lucia Lowell McLaughlin Batchelor and her husband, D.F.; her grandchildren, Walter and his wife, Sherri, Lynn and her husband, Frank, Douglas and his wife, Lupe, Donald and his wife, Stacie, D. Russ and his wife, Christine, Juan and his wife, Sarah and Rachel and her husband, Cory; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mac was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. McLaughlin, Sr. and her brother, Walter David Hamilton, Jr.
A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Norfolk, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, Mac’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to your favorite charity.
