Lucien Eugene Smartt's Obituary
Lucien Eugene Smartt, 91, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Lucien received an A.B. degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon in 1948, and an LL. B. degree from the University Of North Carolina School Of Law, Chapel Hill in 1957. He served in the United State Army as an enlisted man from 1950 to 1953, mostly with the 45th Division Artillery in Korea.
Lucien later joined Public Utilities Reports, Inc. in Washington, D.C. in 1963 and retired as the Editor-In-Chief in 1990.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Joyce Ray of Fort Collins, Colorado; nephew, Michael Fargis; and many friends.
Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
