Linda Fincham Leavell's Obituary
Linda Fincham Leavell, 71, of Culpeper, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at her home. She was born August 14, 1954 in Culpeper, VA.
With deep love and remembrance, we honor the life of a devoted educator and compassionate community member. For more than 20 years, she served as a teacher in Culpeper, Fauquier, and Orange Counties, touching countless lives with her patience, dedication, and genuine care for every student who entered her classroom. Teaching was not just her profession, but her calling, and she believed deeply in the power of education to uplift and inspire.
She was an avid and proud member of the Women of the Moose, where she actively worked to support her community and strengthen the bonds of service and fellowship. True to her generous spirit, she always sought ways to assist others and improve the lives of everyone around her, never hesitating to offer guidance, encouragement, or a helping hand.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She dearly loved her church and her church family, finding great comfort, purpose, and joy in worship, service, and fellowship. Linda always looked for the good in everyone she encountered. Her kindness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to helping others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she taught, guided, and uplifted, and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Wayne Leavell; children, Michael Leavell (Jessica), Faye Leavell (K’Swann); grandchildren, Tyler Keen, Mikey Keen, Ryan Leavell, Keith Leavell, Aaliyah Leavell, Chase Leavell, Tyreek Brown, Izabella Leavell, Jayvieon Cain, Kyson Thompson; siblings, Ray Fincham, Tommy Fincham, Jo Ann Fincham, Johnny Fincham, Virgie Fincham; many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Betty Fincham, and daughter, Virginia “Jenny” Leavell.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Interment has been postponed.

Pallbearers serving the family are Michael Leavell, Tyler Keen, Mikey Keen, Keith Leavell, Ryan Leavell, Chase Leavell, Tyreek Brown, Dante Tibbs. Honorary Pallbearers are DJ Johnson and K’Swann Johnson.
