I remember Mrs. Linda Leavell from when she taught second grade at Emerald Hill Elementary School. I was one of her students. She was always so sweet, kind, and very caring. She always had a smile on her face when she would greet you at her classroom door. She and my mom taught school together. My mom taught Kindergarten. One of my favorite memories of her was when we made different arts and crafts in her class. I will always cherish those memories. My deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to all of her family, friends and loved ones. Rest in Heavenly Peace, Mrs. Leavell.

I remember Mrs. Leavell from when she taught second grade at Emerald Hill Elementary School. I was one of her students. My mom was teaching Kindergarten at the same school at the time. Mrs. Leavell always had a smile on her face each time she would greet you at the door to her classroom. One of my favorite memories of her was when we made different arts and crafts. Those were always fun. She was always so sweet, caring, and kind to everyone. She will be forever missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family, friends, and loved ones. I had the pleasure of working with Linda when we taught school at Emerald Hill Elementary. She taught second grade and I taught Kindergarten. She was always kind, generous, and courteous with everyone- colleagues, students, and parents. Linda was also my daughter's second grade teacher. Heaven has gained an angel. My condolences to the family and friends. God bless you all! RIHP, Linda. You will be missed.

Linda would have been stunned at the large number of family and friends who came to her funeral on Wednesday. She had no idea of how much she meant to everyone. She was kind and loving and also humble. When I taught her class after Jenny was born, she told me about how much she valued education and how hard she pushed to get higher education for herself so that she could become a teacher. She loved teaching, and her students loved her. She supported her nieces and nephews, two who later were my students in the first grade classes that I taught at Sycamore Park School.

There was nothing haughty or naughty about Linda. Hugs, smiles, and "atta boy" or "atta girl" were what mattered. I'm thankful for her influence on many of us, especially the youngsters. May we all choose to emulate her example.
