Linda Marie Johns' Obituary
Linda Johns (Tirak), 64, of Fredericksburg, passed away in the early morning of Thursday, June 30, 2016 to be with the Lord, after an extended illness.
She was born in Erie, PA on June 8, 1952 and graduated from East High School in 1970. Linda was originally a member of Holy Family Parish in Erie, PA, and later a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Claire Tirak, and one younger brother, David.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dwight Johns; two gentlemen sons, Eric and Bryan; a brother, Mark Tirak; and many close friends and co-workers at the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C.
Linda’s family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 10725 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg.
A graveside service and inurnment will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Linda’s honor to the St. Jude’s Building Fund, 10725 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
