Hi Sandy,
You probably don't remember me but my namd is Evie (named after my Grandmother Evelyn Butler Coggins). My Mom Nancy is your first cousin.
I remember Aunt Jean and I've often thought about you and your familY. When my Grandmother Evelyn died Aunt Jean rode in the funeral procession with my cousin Suzie and I. We were 13 and 14 years old at the time. I remember feeling like life would never be the same without my Grandmother and crying to Aunt Jean about it. She held onto me and assured me that she would always be in my heart. She told me that everytime she thought of my Grandmother she rememberd that she loved mums.
To this day (33 years later) everytime I see those flowers I think of my Grandmother and Aunt Jean and smile.
I never had the opportunity to get close to her but what I remember of her warms my memories and what I read about her in her obit makes me proud to call her my Aunt.
She was a woman after my own heart. She enjoyed life and looked after the underprivileged along the way.
My mother and her sister Betty and I are planning to attend the service on October 2nd. Our travel plans will depend on my mother's health.
My email address is [email protected] I'd like to get your email address and postal address to forward to my other aunts and uncles.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
