Kenneth Francis Trexler's Obituary
Kenneth Francis Trexler, 62, of Bealeton, Virginia, passed away on November 7, 2024, while on a missionary trip in Africa. He was a selfless, devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ken was born March 18, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents William, Sr. and Joan (nee Humbert); and his sister, Suzanne Trexler.
He was the loving father of Shannon Trexler and Sean (Valerie) Trexler; cherished grandpa of Chase and James Trexler; dear brother of Scott (Kandi) Trexler, Tom Trexler, Erick (Lisa) Trexler, and Bill (Grace) Trexler.
At the age of 18, Ken enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served 21 years, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant and specializing in Computer Systems Operations. He received numerous awards and commendations for his service. Ken was employed as a Lead Cyber Engineer for ASRC Federal. He helped utilize, maintain, and operate NBIS cybersecurity toolsets.
Ken never met a stranger. He had the special ability to talk to anyone for hours and make them feel like they knew each other for years. He could walk into any small business and the owners would know his name and his order. He absolutely loved shopping local. But, most of all, Ken loved spending time with his grandsons, Chase and James. He always showed up for any of their various activities and made sure they knew he was there.
