Kenneth Marshall Cooper's Obituary
Kenneth Marshall Cooper, 74, of Culpeper peacefully passed away June 25, 2016, while surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born July 12, 1941 in Paducah, KY to the late Hugh Marshall and Eleanor Hudson Cooper.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Army before going to work with the CIA. He spent over 30 years of government service with the U.S. Army and the Agency as a Communications Officer before retiring.
Cancer is an ugly, evil beast; it took him Saturday morning. He had fought so hard for the past 10 months, but his passing was peaceful. As a very private person, he amazed us with his quiet fight and with dignity in facing this disease. He was a good man, friend, husband, father, and grandfather. We will miss his sense of humor and his wise observations about life
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Cooper; two daughters, Laura A. Lunceford and husband Patrick, and Donna L. Cooper; three grandchildren, Mallory L. Grady, Doris A. Lunceford, and Nathan M. Lunceford; and one sibling.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels and Cremation services, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
Funeral services will be private for the family at a later date.
