Katherine (Kitty) Ross' Obituary
Katherine W. (Kitty) Ross, 68, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her home.
Katherine was affectionately known as Kitty to her family and friends. She volunteered for a local elementary school helping the kindergarten classes and was a member of a book club. Kitty was a supportive person who always put others first either during her years as a psychiatric nurse or just helping out her family and friends.
Kitty is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bill Ross; a son, Anthony Ross and his wife, Kristen of Fredericksburg; a sister, Ann Via of Lynchburg; a brother, Bob Waldron and his wife, Sharon of El Paso, Texas; several nieces and nephews and her very close friend, Marylou Knezevich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estelle and Charles R. Waldron.
Kitty’s family will receive friends Monday, September 12, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Pamela Meeuwissen officiating. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
