Kathy was a dear friend to me. In all four years as a student at Courtland High, I volunteered my study hall time assisting the janitorial staff and worked with Kathy. Subsequently, while in college, Kathy and I again worked together for Beverly Enterprises. She unknowingly became one of my most valued mentors - she taught me her incredible work ethic and the value of hard work. I learned from Kathy to never complain about the job, but to instead be thankful that I had one. I reconnected with Kathy several times through the years since, and she always greeted me with a hug and it seemed as if we had never been apart.
To Teresa, Loretta, Jeanne, Billy, and the rest of her family I express my sincere condolences - above work she loved her family the most. I know that your loss has left a terrible void, but focus on the exceptional life that she led, the lessons that we've learned from her, her beautiful smile, and contagious laugh. I have no doubt that her impact on our lives is her legacy and will carry from us to future generations.
Kathy - thank you for your love and wisdom and for your role in making me the person that I am today. God bless you and keep you until we meet again....
