I get chills to this day when I think of a young Sgt. Glymph as one of my D.I.'s at Parris Island back in October- Jan. 1991-92. Those 3 small mos. he played a part in my life helped to form me into the man I am today. And for that i will always be grateful and will never forget.

As a young Marine, I have had the privilege and honor of serving under 1st Sgt Glymph with ORMC 3rd FSSG. This man was just, fair, and strict and always wanted to better his Marines. Thank you for the memories ... My condolences to his family. My prayers go to your family...

He was hard, but fair. I carried a lot of him with me in my 10 years in the Corps and have ever since.
Man, was he hard on me! I was his pet project in Platoon 1101 during the summer of 1992. He tried to break me the entire time.
I later met up with him in Okinawa in 1993-94. Had a few beers and laughed about it all. Learned even more about him in those couple of brief talks. That meant a lot and cemented my respect for him. I grew to recognize that he had given me a gift by being so tough.

SgtMaj was an awesome Marine. He always thought of others first and challenged everyone to reach for the stars. He loved his family and was never afraid or too tough to show that love. His "paying it forward" touched many lives not just those he paid it forward to but those that learned about paying it forward. I know there is a great reunion in heaven and he's probably already changing things up. He'll be there waiting for those that follow. Chelsea I know there's some bad days ahead but remember those happy times and take care of yourself. Praying for you the kids and grand kids

Thinking of you Chelsea, and all who mourn the loss of Justin. He was a real Marine in every way, but he was also fully capable of having fun. I'll never forget listening to the two of you sing Karaoke together at the Riverbend HS after prom party. He was always smiling when he'd stop by Liberty Tax Service and surprised you with the best and most romantic Valentines gifts at the office. Please know we are here for you if you ever need us.
