I passed by the health dept today, it's been months since I've been in the area. The place isn't the same since cazzy left. I'd sit in the "hot seat" at her desk while she worked on my death certificates and she'd always ask about my son and brag about Sabrina and her son. She always asked about my job and the plant she couldn't get to grow on her shelf,then as I left tell me "don't call me I'll call you". Her eyes could really light up the worst days. Her family was lucky to have her. She is still thought of often and missed

I haven’t seen Judy in more than 30 years but I will never forget her warm welcome to Fredericksburg to this young girl from Westminster. She always had a beautiful smile and was always happy. Sending my sincere sympathy to Mike, Sabrina, Seth and families. ❤️

Cazzie was a good friend. So full of joy and laughter. I got the pleasure to work with her from 2006 to 2019. She was definitely someone you could count on. I most admired how much she cared for her staff. I often sat in her chair in front of her desk. No matter what was going on you were always invited to sit there and chat. You left a better human after laughing with her. She was just one of a kind. Until we laugh again, girlfriend. Grateful to have been touched by your joy! Sending peace and prayers to her family.

Judy and I were childhood friends in Portsmouth,Va…although we did not keep up a lot we did share memories on FB. This was very sad news. I had no idea that she was sick…thanks for the memories Judy. Love to the family. I do know she loved you dearly.

Mrs Casarotti was such a beautiful woman, inside and out. She had a genuine soul and laughter that often echoed the fields. I always enjoyed seeing her. Whether it be running into her at Giant getting groceries to cheering the grands on on the sidelines. I do have to say my favorite memory of her was when I had my daughter 18 years ago she was volunteering in the NICU. Thankfully I knew her and when I was discharged having to leave my baby there was much easier with Mrs Casarotti holding and loving her. She spent many hours of my daughters first week of life with her. She had a way of making people feel safe & brought out the best in everyone. My condolences to her family!

How could I forget Cazzie? She always had a smile. Even though it's been several years since we worked together at Spotsylvania Health Department, I can still see and feel her smile! Cassi was one of the best supervisors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She easily made you feel like family and always made you feel better when she laughed that laugh from her soul! This is heartbreaking. She is so loved and will be terribly missed. Prayers for her family and work family.

Cazzie was one of a kind. I am having trouble processing that I won’t see her at her desk, that she won’t joke with me, offer encouragement, listen, and be a friend. She loved her family fiercely and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She was genuine, just a truly wonderful person. She will be missed greatly.
