Jordan Taylor DuPriest's Obituary
Jordan DuPriest, 12-year-old daughter of Kimberly and Justin DuPriest Jr. of Spotsylvania County, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday Nov. 18, 2013, after a 2year battle with ependymoma brain cancer.
Jordan leaves behind her devoted parents, Kimberly and Justin; her younger brother, Cody; her paternal grandfather, Justin DuPriest Sr.; maternal grandmother Noel Keller; aunts Holly Bertoti and Danielle Mirisola; uncle Gary Keller Jr.; and hundreds of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, with a memorial service for Jordan at 4 p.m. at Found & Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road. Both will be open to family and friends to pay their respects. Jordan's family will be collecting paper flowers and butterflies created by the people who love her at the memorial service. These will then be taken to Children's Hospital of Richmond and displayed for all of the children currently battling cancer to brighten their day.
In lieu of gifts, Jordan's parents would like to continue her fight against childhood cancer by honoring her 12 years of life with donations of $12 that will go toward brain cancer research. Donations maybe made at curesearch.kintera.org/per sonalfundraiser/jordandu priest.
