John Warnock Todd's Obituary
John W. Todd, 71 of Partlow, VA was welcomed into the Lord’s loving arms when he passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a gallant fight against cancer on January 22, 2026.
It is with the deepest love and respect we honor the life of John who was born in Spartanburg, SC on November 8, 1954, to Joseph Newton Todd, Jr. and Kathleen Edna Todd.
After finishing high school, he attended 1 year in college before entering the HVAC industry and subsequently beginning his HVAC company Answer Air Conditioning Corp.
In his younger years he enjoyed go karting and camping with his family and friends. He was a talented guitarist. He finally retired and closed his successful business to focus on family, home projects, and his Ham radio obsession.
John was the go-to for all repairs or questions. If you ever asked him anything, he always knew the answer and if he didn’t, he would make something up that sounded like he did. Whether you asked about something electrical, plumbing, building, mechanical, cars, history, etc., the list goes on. He knew it all, his wealth of knowledge will be missed. His hobby with his Ham radios brought him endless pride and joy in his retirement.
John married the love of his life Mary in Springfield, VA in 1988. He loved and adored her children Angela and Jennifer, and they welcomed their son Adam soon after and completed their family.
John was preceded in death by his parents Joseph N. Todd, Jr. and Kathleen Todd.
John is survived by his loving wife Mary Featherall Todd, children: Angela Lewis of Sandston, VA, Jennifer Lewis of the home and Adam Todd (Emily) of Woodbridge, VA. His loving brother Steve Todd (Debbie) of Sterling, VA; his loving sister Kathy Strah (Dave) of Muskegon, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you donate to his daughter’s special needs group: They are a nonprofit group for adults with special needs: Emerging Stars, PO Box 513, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.
A celebration of life will be held to honor his memory and share our love for him Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00AM-1:00PM.
